Part 1 of this blog focused on the existence and source of EMF (Electromagnetic Forces). Part 2 addresses some ways to protect from harmful EMF. To be practical, we need to recognize that everything in the universe generates EMF, including our own minds and bodies. So, eliminating all EMF is simply not possible nor desirable. It is possible however, to reduce the amount of potentially damaging EMF we are exposed to. Four basic approaches are: avoid, deflect, absorb, and counter. An example of avoiding is to not use electronic devices or mechanical equipment with electric motors or to modify or limit our use of them. This may not be practical for many, but as the Amish know, it is possible. Modified behavior could be things like using a speaker phone, ear bud, or headset that generates less direct EMF than putting a cell phone to one’s ear. When using a microwave oven, stepping away after pressing the ‘On’ button. Staying indoors during the day to avoid intense EMF from the sun, recognizing that some similar EMF comes from artificial lighting. Turning off or completely disconnecting power and batteries from electrical devices not in use.
Deflecting can be done with reflective window film or sunglasses. One can wear a hat made of aluminum foil (I'm not trying to make fun here). Our metal shop building does not allow us to receive cell phone and WIFI signals without an indoor booster antenna. So, we know that it prevents certain EMF intrusion. But it’s green roof color absorbs more solar EMF and generates more heat than a white metal roof would (something to think about when we eventually must recoat our roof). Most sunblocks contain metals to reflect or diffuse UV rays and those containing organic or carbon materials absorb them, so our skin doesn’t. Certain EMF frequencies can be absorbed through use of materials such as iron, lead, aluminum, copper or certain carbon composites. Think of the lead aprons they place on you when having x-rays taken. Certain carbon composites are used to make EMF absorbing paints like those used on stealth aircraft and wind turbines. Then there are pouch, room, and building sized faraday cages that are used to protect electronic equipment and whatever else is inside them from EMF. There are also manufactures of faraday-like clothing and fabrics, but like sunblock, these are not absolute protection. Finally, because all EMF are waves with their own frequencies, they can be countered by broadcasting defeating waves (also EMF) that cancel them out. This can get tricky though, as there is a near infinite range of EMF frequencies, some harmful and some not. Since most people cannot physically sense EMF, there is room for unscrupulous vendors to provide countering devices that are essentially useless. Shielding is available to attract and disrupt the effects of electromagnetic EMF and are used regularly in all sorts of electronic and electromechanical devices to prevent EMF interference. There are many minerals and crystals that are widely used in metaphysical applications to deflect, absorb, or counter, EMF. Shungite (also lamp black) is a carbon mineral with a molecular structure that can trap certain EMF and is used in some sunblocks and radar absorbing coatings. Minerals with iron such as black tourmaline, amethyst, hematite (magnetic and nonmagnetic) and minerals with copper can absorb and deflect some EMF wavelengths. On their own and in small quantities, as in pouches, necklaces, etc., such small quantities are of more symbolic protection than actual. But such symbolic protection can aid in tuning one’s mind and heart toward the “ultimate protection”, by reminding us of our desired intention - to block negative EMF. Applying any of the foregoing suggestions requires preparation and proper application or installation to be effective. To fully benefit from the metaphysical properties of minerals and crystals is no different. To gain their greatest benefit, the vibrational output of our own minds and bodies (EMF) must be attuned with the vibrational output of the minerals and crystals we are seeking to benefit from.
